Important info and good to know

Registration deadline: 01.04.2025.

Late entry registration deadline: 15.04.2025 13:00.

Price single entry / double entry / Camp: €30 / €50 / €30

Late registration price: €45

Please note registrations can only be made online via our website and not via email or phone.

Extra cost for changing weight class after registration deadline: €10

Extra cost for late registration: €15

Cancellation policy: All entries can be cancelled up till the registration deadline (01.04.2025) against an administration fee of 20% of the total amount. Cancellations after the registration deadline will not be refunded.

Five tatamis a 6x6 m

Fighting time: U10 (2 min) / U12 (2 min) / U15 (3 min) / U18 and seniors (4 min).

Only white judogi is required. Organizer will provide red and white belt.

Medic care will attend the tournament and camp.

Food and accommodation

High performance requires healthy and nutritious food.

Our chef team will serve “home cooked” meals three times a day: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

We prioritize good ingredients such as whole grain, lots of carbs, protein, vegetable and fruit.

The food is served at the venue and can be bought online when you buy your entry for the tournament.

We offer accommodation at or close to the venue. Book it online when you place your entry.

Bring along sleeping bag, mattress etc.

Airport Service

We offer prebooked pick up service from the airport. We will collect you and your team from the airport and drive you to the venue or hotel for the cost of €20 per person. You can also book a return going from the hotel or venue to the airport. (Please note only one pick up per club)

Food, Transportation and accommodation

Is it possible to park close to the venue?

Yes, you can park 3 hours for free around the venue.

What is the easiest way to arrive at the venue via public transportation?

You can use the metro, line M2. The metro station closest by is “Lergravsparken” (approx. 700 meters) The metro station “Amagerbro” is also walking distance from the venue.

Are spectators welcome at the hall?

Yes, guests can buy an entry ticket by the entrance.

Where can I buy food and beverages?

During Copenhagen Open tournament and camp, we provide "home cooked" breakfast, lunch and dinner served at the venue. You can buy a full board package for €140 for all four days. You can also buy single food tickets for each meal for €15 (breakfast) and €20 (lunch and dinner)

Food tickets can be preordered when you register for the tournament.

You can buy smaller snacks such as sandwiches, fruit and croissants, beverages such as juice, coffee and tea at our kiosk during the two tournament days.

Do I need to bring my own sleeping bag?

Yes, accommodation includes only a place to sleep at the sports hall.

Registration

Can I change my registration?

Yes, when you receive your confirmation e-mail, please check if everything is OK. In this e-mail you can find a link where it is possible to add judokas and services to your order.

Can I remove judokas or services from my registration?

Yes, if you send an e-mail to admin@copenhagenopen.com. Before the registration deadline (1th April 2025) you will receive a refund of 80% of the full amount. After the 1th April no refund will be given.

Can I get a refund if I am injured or sick on tournament day?

No, unfortunately there is no refund on cancellation after registration deadline.

Can I change weight class after registration?

Yes, weight classes can be changed for free until the 1th of April, by using the link in your confirmation mail.

Can I register after registration deadline?

Yes, you can register for late registration until the 15th of April, or until tournament is full. After the registration deadline registrations are charged a fee of €15 per weight classes (total: primatry: €45 / second: €35).

Can I change weight class after registration deadline?

Yes, weight classes can be changed until the 15th of April by using the link in your confirmation mail. After the registration deadline weight class changes are charged a fee of €10.

Can I register for a second weight class after registration deadline?

Yes, weight classes can be changed until the 15th of April by using the link in your confirmation mail. After the registration deadline adding a second weight class are charged a fee of €15 extra (€35 total).

Can I change my services and food tickets after registration deadline?

No, after registration deadline 1th of April, services can no longer be changed.

Can I change weight class during weigh-in?

Yes, but you need to pay a free (15€) to change weight class at weigh-in. You can change weight class after registration deadline via. the mail link for a fee of €10.

Can I register for a second weight class on the tournament day?

No, it is not possible to add more entries after the late entry closing date (15.04.2025 13:00).

Rules and practical info about the tournament

Do I need a blue judogi?

Blue judogi is allowed when fighting blue but not required. Only white judogi is required. Red belts are provided, when fighting blue.

Do I need a white judogi?

Yes, You can only fight in blue gi when fighting blue. White gi is required when fighting white and on the podium for the medal ceremony.

Are there any throws that are forbidden?

Copenhagen Open follows standard IJF rules.

What happens if I am late to a match?

If a judoka is missing at a match, one callout will be given via the speakers in the hall. If the judoka does not show, the judoka will loose the match.

Are there an open weight class?

No, there are no open class at Copenhagen Open.

Is it possible to watch livestream from the tournament?

Yes, we livestream from all mats throughout the entire tournament.

When is the medal ceremony?

There are two medal ceremonies each tournament day. One for the early categories and one for the rest.

Can I get my medal before the medal ceremony?

No, medals are only given out at medal ceremonies.

When are category draws ready?

The categories will be ready approximately after one hour after weigh-in closes. Categories are published at this page.
